If you ask Michael what brought him to Iclif, his response is, “The opportunity to work at an incredible organisation whose primary focus is helping leaders create better futures for themselves, their teams and their companies. Being at Iclif allows me to pursue my life’s purpose of helping individuals become more effective and impactful leaders by guiding them in the alignment of their personal values and purpose.”

For over 30 years, Michael has worked in the field of leadership and organisational development. He leverages his advanced degrees in communications and organisation development to design and deliver results producing development experiences. Michael is also a certified gestalt therapist (Indianapolis and Cleveland Gestalt Institute) as well as a certified coach (Center for Creative Leadership) and member of the International Coach Federation and European Coaching and Mentoring Council.

Michael started his career in the insurance industry, transitioned into telecommunication and eventually ended up in consulting. Having been a practicing manager, he understands the challenges today’s leaders face in a dynamic, constantly changing landscape, especially when it comes to engaging and retaining key talents. As the co-author of Developing Leadership Talent (Pfeiffer/Wiley, 2008), he knows how to help organisations formulate strategies for developing their future leaders. Most recently, Michael authored the chapter on Crowdsourced Innovation and Leadership Succession, for Iclif’s book, Open Source Leadership (McGraw-Hill, 2017), a guide for leadership in the 21st Century.
